Description

Glamdring is an ancient sword carried by Gandalf the White, who is an old but powerful wizard and friend to Frodo Baggins. Glamdring, a magical swords, serves Gandalf in his mission to aid the Fellowship of the Ring. It was made by ancient Elves and is inscribed with runes in the Elven language that say "Turgon Aran Gondolin, Tortha gar a matha Glamdring, Vegil Glamdring gud daelo. Dam an Glamhoth." which translates to "Turgon, king of Gondolin, wields, has, and holds the sword Glamdring, Foe of Morgoth's realm, Hammer of the Orcs."

This officially licensed replica of Glamdring comes with a certificate of authenticity and a wooden display plaque. Manufactured by United Cutlery.

This magical elven forged sword also glowed when orcs and goblins came near just like Sting. It is the most powerful sword in the book in my eyes due to the foes it has slain. Trolls, orcs, goblins, wargs, Balrogs,...you name it....Glamdring has cleaved them all in the hands of Gandalf. The leaf shape blade is PERFECTLY shaped, and the handle begs to be lifted off its plaque. You won't be sorry for purchasing this from CB swords!..

Okay, This is a AWESOME SWORD, I was a little insecure about this sword at first, so I will try to help anyone who is like me. In response to the other two reveiws. 1. Yes indeed the Hilt, and the steel blade are darker than the web pic shows, BUT this is the way it was in the movie, don't take my word for it! checkit out. 2. Almost every sword, even those designed to be battle ready, Have a wobble in the blade is long, and is 420 J2, or anouther type of steel, it does NOT mean its cheap or weak, just flexable. This is the BEST Lotr sword Imo, and I highly recomend it, you will be happy. 5/5! ..

Wow. This sword is so cool! I had some doubts about it before it arrived, but when it came (4 days after I ordered it) all those doubts dissapeared! It is heavier than I expected, but still light. I am very pleased with the purchase and find it to be a wonderful piece. It is obeviously very well crafted and looks almost exactly as it did in the movie. There was only one thing that I thought was odd. The color of the leather on the hilt is much darker than it appears on the website. But otherwise a fabulous and beautiful sword... I got this sword less than a week after i ordered it which is much faster than i could ever imagine, thanks to CB swords. This sword is a good looking sword. The leather on the hilt is much darker than it appears on the picture. The blades shape is awsome. The only reason i only gave it four stars is because of the obvious rat-tail tang construction and it occasionally will make the blade wabble, but this is only if you get it in the right position. Other than that this sword is awsome...

This is one of the most beautiful swords I have ever seen, and as an expirienced swordsman that is saying a lot. I have made many purchases from places like Noblecollection, and let me tell you that this is just as good at a much more reasonable price. I also realize that this sword has a rat tail tang construction, meaning the tang of the blade is about 3/4 of an inch wide, and if you take a serious whack at something solid it might break off, but other than that this is a VERY beautiful sword and don't let anyone else tell you otherwise...

I have a large colletion of lord of the rings swords and in my opinion this is by far the most amazing the shape of the blade is just wonderful and the design is just astonishing it has a tendancy to wobble is certain movements but this is normal for a sword this size it does not mean it is weak just flexable which makes it less brittle anyway. an all round fabulous sword and i would recommend it to everyone..

I own this sword as well as hadhafang, sword of strider/scabbard, narsil, witchking, and legolas' fighting knives. I think they are ALL impressive and anyone who is a sword buff, collecter, or just a fan of the films or books I HIGHLY suggest for you to get them. Excellent craftsmanship and a great display piece, but also they work quite well as fully functional, ha ha I probably shouldn't say that. But eventually my hopes are for the full collection one day. You will not be dissatisfied...
